Text Box: Tŷ Gwyn, L’Arceau, near Cognac,
The perfect place to unwind
Text Box: A beautifully renovated ancient Charentais longhouse in a tiny village surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vines, yet only ten minutes from the centre of Cognac.
Text Box: The house is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac where the villagers would wash their clothes in the laverie in days gone by. On the east side the house borders onto fields and trees, through which flows the river Né on its way to the Charente. It is surrounded by fields which, as the seasons change, are filled with vines, sunflowers, maize and masses of beautiful semi wild flowers. The garden is sheltered and private and has a small swimming pool. The house has been renovated by local craftsmen to a very high standard, with 2 double bedrooms (1 ensuite), 1 twin bedded, a mezzanine with 2 single beds, a spacious kitchen and traditional sitting room with a sofa bed.
