Exhibition and studio sale at Bryn Morris 14th – 21st September 2008
Exhibition of new work: This year has seen a shift in subject
matter away from buildings in the landscape to trees and birds.
These have always featured in my work, but a magical experience of a dawn
chorus near our family house in the Charente brought them back into the foreground
of my imagination.
Many of these new paintings have a close connection with poetry and other
texts.
To see some images, follow the link to Paintings
and go to the ‘Central
Hall’.
Studio sale of work: since having to clear my parent’s
house, which included the large numbers of my paintings they acquired over
the years, I have to make space for new work.
Many of these paintings are from previous eras: watercolours and drawings
from the 70’s and 80’s, and experimental work with music and poetry
from the 90’s.
There are also more recent pictures which have not been framed and so are
being offered at very reasonable prices.
Sculpture by Denis Curry: Denis will be showing some of
his bronzes in the setting of the barn and garden.
We last exhibited together in 2002, and I am delighted he has agreed to show
some new work in this show.
